GHAIR | Online Professional Career Guidance Session — Live from Australia
Global House of Australian Independent Research (GHAIR) is organizing a Live Online Career Opportunity & Application Support Session, live from Australia, for students, researchers, academics, and professionals seeking their next career opportunity in Australia and Canada.
The session will be led by Dr. Tamour and Dr. Mahwish and is designed to provide practical, profile-based, and personalized career and application support.
Before the live session, the GHAIR team will review each participant’s academic and professional background, CV, and cover letter and identify a relevant career opportunity based on their qualifications, experience, skills, and career interests.
During the session, each participant will be represented by a unique candidate code rather than their name. Each case will be discussed individually, including the participant’s relevant academic and professional background, the identified opportunity, why the opportunity may be suitable, and recommended improvements to the CV and cover letter.
Personal and identifying information will be hidden during the group presentation to protect participants’ privacy.

The session is suitable for graduates, Master’s/MPhil students and graduates, PhD candidates, PhD graduates, researchers, postdoctoral researchers, academics, lecturers and other professionals.
The session is designed to:
Module 1 – GHAIR Introduction & Session Overview
A brief introduction to GHAIR, the purpose of the session, and how the live session will operate.
Module 2 – CV & Cover Letter Review
Discussion of important CV and cover letter observations, common areas for improvement, and ways to better tailor application documents.
Module 3 – Individual Coded Case Presentations
Each participant will be represented using a unique candidate code, such as Candidate 001, Candidate 002, and so on. Personal and identifying information will remain hidden.
For each case, the session will cover the participant’s relevant background, the identified career opportunity, the relationship between the opportunity and the participant’s profile, and recommended CV and cover letter improvements.
Module 4 – Private One-to-One Discussion
Following the presentation of each participant’s case, an assigned GHAIR team member will meet privately with that participant in a breakout room for approximately five minutes to discuss questions related to their individual case. At the same time, the main session will continue with the next candidate’s presentation.
Module 5 – Final Guidance & Session Conclusion
The session will conclude with key application guidance, important observations, and next steps.
Step 1 – Registration & Payment
Participants must complete the registration process and successfully pay the AUD $10 registration fee.
Step 2 – Document Submission
After successful payment, participants must email the following to contactus@ghair.com.au:
* Updated/recent CV
* Current cover letter
* Successful payment receipt
Step 3 – Pre-Session Profile Review
The GHAIR team will review the participant’s academic and professional background, CV, cover letter, qualifications, experience, skills, and career interests.
Step 4 – Opportunity Identification
A relevant career opportunity in Australia or Canada will be identified for each participant based on their individual profile.
Step 5 – Application Review & Preparation
The participant’s CV and cover letter will be reviewed in relation to the identified opportunity, and relevant improvements will be prepared for discussion.
Step 6 – Candidate Coding & Privacy
Each participant will receive a unique candidate code. Names, contact details, and other identifying personal information will be hidden during the group session.
Step 7 – Live Session from Australia
The session will begin with a brief introduction to GHAIR and an explanation of the session format.
Each coded candidate case will then be presented individually. The presentation will discuss the relevant profile information, identified opportunity, suitability of the opportunity, and recommended CV and cover letter improvements.
Step 8 – Private Breakout Discussion
After a candidate’s case presentation is completed, an assigned GHAIR team member will take that participant into a private breakout room for approximately five minutes for an individual discussion and questions.
Meanwhile, the main presenter will continue with the next candidate’s case. The team member will return to the main session after completing the private discussion and repeat the process for subsequent participants.
Step 9 – Post-Session Individual Email
After the session, each participant will receive an individual private email containing details of their relevant identified opportunity and the CV and cover letter improvements discussed during the session.
Privacy, Confidentiality & Disclaimer
GHAIR will protect participants’ personal and identifying information during the live group session. Candidate names and other identifying details will be hidden, and participants will be represented using unique candidate codes.
